A Sense of Proportion

When the westward sun sinks low,
and day flashes its last flare,
does the small firefly aglow
think its ember can compare?

When Jesus Christ’s head hung low,
wreathed in thorns upon the Tau,
Christians donned crosses, just-so,
and said, “Holier than thou!”
